Dallas Cowboys score narrow 41-35 win against Seattle Seahawks,Dak Prescott shines for Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys score a thrilling win against the Seattle Seahawks where Dallas led by Dak Prescott led his team win over the Seahawks on “Thursday Night Football” in Arlington,Texas to open the NFL’s Week 13.

In a game where offense ruled the day, the Dallas Cowboys proved to be the more dominant force. The Cowboys exploded for 41 points in a narrow 41-35 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb were the biggest stars of the night. Prescott finished with 299 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. One of those touchdowns went to Lamb, who picked up 116 receiving yards and 30 rushing yards in the win.

Heading into the contest, quarterback Dak Presscott and receiver CeeDee Lamb had the Cowboys’ offense humming, while cornerback DaRon Bland had become a pick-six machine. Meanwhile, Seattle’s offense had been struggling, as quarterback Geno Smith and receiver DK Metcalf had connected for one touchdown since Week 4.

Prescott finished with three touchdown passes and no interceptions, throwing for 299 yards. And now it sets up what the Cowboys had hoped for when they left Philadelphia on Nov. 5 with a 28-23 loss to the Eagles: a chance to make the NFC East a contest.

The contest marked yet another fantastic effort by Prescott, who has thrown for 20 touchdowns against 2 interceptions over his last six games. That performance has thrust Prescott into the MVP conversation.

The 41-35 win against Seattle might not have answered all of the questions, but when it mattered most the Cowboys came through, as they started their most difficult stretch of the season with five games against teams without a losing record.

The win pushes Dallas to 9-3 on the season. The team will face perhaps its toughest test of the regular season in Week 14, when it takes on the division rival Philadelphia Eagles.

At 9-3 after their fourth straight win, the Cowboys still need help. They could use an Eagles loss to the Niners on Sunday, but when Philadelphia comes to AT&T Stadium in 10 days, the Cowboys can still send a message by beating their rival. A message that would be bigger than beating the Seahawks.

Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes and the Dallas Cowboys extended their home winning streak to 14 games, rallying for a 41-35 victory over the Seattle Hawks on Thursday night.

Prescott’s 12-yard pass to Jake Ferguson put Dallas in front with four and a half minutes remaining as the Cowboys (9-3) set up a rematch with NFC East rivals Philadelphia by escaping what would have been their first loss since falling to the Eagles 28-23 to start November.

With two straight losses and a pair of tough games coming up against the 49ers and Eagles, this was perhaps their best chance at avoiding a five-game skid that would put their playoff hopes in serious jeopardy.

The Seahawks are now 6-6 and only midway through the toughest stretch of their schedule.

The sense of urgency was there against Dallas. So was the Seahawks’ offense, which got out of its rut thanks to a huge night from Smith and Metcalf. But the defense was not, and neither was the end result.

Neither team punted, the fifth time in NFL history that’s happened. But the Dallas defense, ranked third in the NFL coming in, got fourth-down on the Seahawks’ final three possessions as the Cowboys kept alive their best home winning streak since an 18-game run at old Texas Stadium from 1979 through 1981.

The Cowboys trailed 35-30 when Zach Charbonnet was stopped on fourth-and-1 from the Dallas 46. Seven plays later, Ferguson scored, and Prescott hit Brandin Cooks for the two-point conversion. Cooks also had a TD catch in the second quarter.

CeeDee Lamb had the other touchdown catch while finishing with 12 catches for 116 yards, and his 24-yard run on a jet sweep helped set up Aubrey’s final field goal to put Dallas ahead by six. That came after Smith threw incomplete on fourth down near midfield with 3:11 to go.

The Seahawks reached midfield with 1:11 left, but Micah Parsons’ pressure on fourth down forced Smith to throw the ball into the ground, sealing the Dallas victory.
