The Saints will wear their color rush uniform for the first time this season. It will be accompanied by their black helmet.
The Saints will counter with their white-on-white alternate uniforms, along with the black secondary helmets they first introduced in 2022.

New Orleans Saints Love Hate Relation with Color Rush
New Orleans has only worn the black helmets with the color rush uniforms in its short lifespan so far.
It’s unfortunate that the announcement comes right after the injuries to Michael Thomas and Marshon Lattimore. Many fans wanted to see those two in the unique uniforms, but that won’t happen this week.
The color rush uniform alongside the black helmet is a combo that isn’t agreed upon by the fan base. Some love it, and some think it is atrocious. There aren’t many opinions in between.
Personally, the black helmet should be used alongside the all-black uniforms. The gold helmet looked better with the color rush that brings out the gold highlights in the jersey and pants.
Regardless, the Saints will rock the combo against the rival Falcons this Sunday. Don’t miss the game.
The NFL allowed teams to wear alternate helmets last season to accommodate unique uniform choices, but the Saints didn’t think it through far enough, simply pairing new helmets with an established alternate jersey. It’s a shame. The helmets would look much better paired with black throwback uniforms or a new all-black kit altogether. Instead, they’ve spoiled what was one of the cleanest looks in the NFL.
